Decorating with Birds

I love things with birds on them right now. I have a few things (like this really cute little jewelry stand), but I think I'm going to use it as a theme in my room. I am in love with the bird mirror below. I for sure want that.

rewarded myself

Today I took the first test that I have taken since I graduated from BYU, which was about two and a half years ago.

I am back in school, for those of you who don't know. I am taking a few pre-req classes for nursing. Apparently taking "pre-med" at BYU does not prepare you for nursing school. So...I have my application almost ready and am finishing up some classes. I can get accepted on a conditional basis, provided that I pass the classes that I need. (So cross your fingers for me!)

Anyway, I am in Chemistry again. My arch-nemesis from undergrad. Ugh. Anyway, this class is way easy, because I'm just taking it online at SLCC. (well I hope it's easy....so far it seems to be). But I am back to studying, and today I had a test. Which took me back to scantrons, pencils (I honestly don't remember the last time I used one...sad), and feeling incredibly self-conscious because I've had a cold and I'm sitting there sniffling and feeling super noisy in that uncannily quiet testing center. I hate being that person!

All said and done, I think I did really well. The scores won't be posted until tomorrow...it's driving me nuts to not know! So...being me, and being in Salt Lake...I went to Anthro to reward myself....with this necklace. So cute right? (haha, let's just hope I'm not too early in my celebration! Let's be honest, it's the first time I've walked out of the college chem test feeling remotely good about it. That in itself deserves a reward :) ) Ok maybe that's just my excuse. Maybe next midterm, I'll reward myself with the bedding that just went on sale!

I do not find you attractive. I'm not sure why everyone else keeps talking about you like it's so great that you're still single. "Don't worry, Harry's still single." Gag me. You are a ginger and not cute.

Dear Anthropologie, Nordstrom, and Piperlime,

Please stop having sales. My checking account and credit card still have not recovered from New York back in March. Plus I'm going to be a starving student again soon. And I have a shopping addiction that I need to find some kind of solution for.

Dear hair,

Please start growing. I wish you were long and flowy.

Dear body,

I'm sorry that one week I am so hard on you at the gym and wreck you on mountain bike rides, with tennis serves, and Lori's power pump class in an effort to be more active, and then next I decide to be lazy and stuff you with all kinds of food. I will try to be more consistant all around.

I'm going to try and visit you more. I'm kind of being a bad friend that lies and says I'm going to come visit you and then ditches you for my cooler friends, tv and bed. But I miss you and it's summer, so we're going to hang out more.

Dear Miranda Lambert,

If you were going to steal my boyfriend, Blake Shelton, at least you could have worn a cuter wedding dress. Usually I like you, but right now we're fighting.

Dear Chedder-Jalapeno Cheetos,

Stop staring at me everytime I walk past you at the gas station. Yes, you are deliciously spicy and cheesy, but you also make my thighs jiggle and I do not have time for you right now. Plus you kind of look disgusting on paper.

Dear Weather in Utah,

I hate you. Period.

Dear Kelly Osbourne,

You are one lucky Biotch. I do not understand why you are on Fashion Police. You do not have cute style. Your hair is terrible. And you're not very funny. How you got that job and have kept it I will never know.

Dear I-15,

You're the worst part of my day. At some point in the day I get stuck somewhere on you and you make me late or it takes 4 times longer than it should for me to get somewhere. Really? I live in Utah, not Southern California. Can we please get this construction sped up a little bit? Thanks.

Swim 2011

So I'm deciding which swim suits I want to order this year. Yes, I know I'm running late this year, but the weather has been so lame this year that I just haven't done it yet! Hopefully the weather will get better so I can actually use a swim suit. These are my favorite picks so far because some of them have already sold out of my size :( Guess I better hurry!

Shoe Heaven

By now, you all know that I have an obsession with shoes. And as I have said before, when I am having a bad day or a good day shoes are my go to because they are my "happy place". They are like a reward when I did something good or make me feel better when I'm sad about something. They aren't like a pair of jeans that doesn't fit when you gain five pounds, and they can make or break an outfit. Anyway, I've bought about five pairs of shoes for spring in the last month and a half because I've been being "bad", but I have about 25 more pairs on my wishlist. Sadly, I won't be able to afford all of them :(. Anyway, I've posted some already, but here are some more that I love for spring and summer.
